[Vancouver, Canada] — Leading digital language learning platform LingQ announced today that it has added Slovenian to its list of languages. Another in the list of languages from the former Yugoslavia now available on LingQ.
"We are thrilled to introduce Slovenian to our platform," said Mark Kaufmann, co-founder of LingQ. "I confess to knowing little about Slovenian but with its addition to LingQ, hopefully I, along with others in our community, can learn more."
LingQ's innovative approach to language learning combines interactive lessons, personalized vocabulary tools, and a community of engaged native speakers for a comprehensive, immersive experience. This approach will be applied to Slovenian, allowing users to gain proficiency in the language through listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
Thanks to the contribution of the LingQ Community, Slovenian, a South Slavic language spoken by more than 2 million people will be more accessible to all.
This addition increases the number of languages available on LingQ to 45, reflecting the platform's commitment to providing a diverse range of language learning opportunities.
"I have spent a little time in Slovenia back when I was playing professional hockey in Austria," added Kaufmann. "We played in the Alpenliga which included Slovenian teams from Ljubljana, Bled and Jesenice. We even had our training camp in Bled. I always enjoyed the time spent in Slovenia and that makes it doubly special to be adding that language here today."
The Slovenian language course is available on LingQ's website and mobile app starting today.
